Conference Theme: "MORE THINGS IN HEAVEN AND EARTH – Adapting to an expanded description of reality"

 

This is a thought which has surely inspired many individuals down the centuries and most probably a few group conferences as well. It also makes a good theme for our own conference because surely all of us would like to add “more things” to our own respective philosophies, especially high minded ones, as may be found in The Urantia Book.

Conference Theme: "URANTIA BOOK - THE TREASURE CHEST – The purpose of life and goal of existence – heaven and earth revealed"

 

We are blessed with a venue set amongst the gum trees. The modern architectural curved form gives the impression of a space ship for our cosmic conference this year. The Lake Dewar Lodge has a large conference room and lounge area overlooking the lake, a kitchen, dining room, and several smaller rooms that will be used for study group discussions.

Worship is the highest privilege and the first duty of all created intelligences. [p303:5]


We will discover that worship supplies us with the energy and the motivating power that enables us to
produce a service ministry to God and man which is filled with mercy and motivated by love [P.1175:1]. We will explore how worship and service become progressively more critical aspects of the supernal adventure that lies before us.

At this year’s conference we are going to explore the many facets of the term “Religion” as portrayed
in the Urantia Papers with an aim to develop a clear understanding of the real nature of religion. We will contemplate how individuals who wholeheartedly embrace true religion become peacemakers and find long lasting happiness.

At this conference presentations will be made on “THE BOOK AND I” theme with each speaker expanding on their favourite part or theme which has a deep meaning for them or of which they never tire of exploring.

Like small teams placed in deep waters, and allowed to learn to swim.

Conference Theme: "ORGANISING THE SOUL FOR DYNAMIC SERVICE"


Our theme for the conference will take a two pronged approach to explore the day-to-day ways we can bring an awareness of the revelation to the world. The first prong will look at how you, an individual believer, can begin to “organise your soul for dynamic service.” What was Jesus’ secret? We know living his teachings will bring changes, perhaps now is the time. The second prong will focus on the avenues of service available to you—from the eloquent demonstration of living faith of the individual, to dynamic service of a faith-son or daughter.
