Newsletter and study aids

ARENA

Arena is our newsletter. Through it ANZURA members are kept up-to-date with activities in our region. Activities we can take part in and enjoy knowing about like study days, conferences and descriptions of shared experiences. Arena has a distinguished pedigree building on from '606' which was the first newsletter serving readers in Australia.

The title arises from a well-known quote from the paper, 'The Mind Arena of Choice'. "Mind is your ship, the Adjuster is your pilot, the human will is captain." [1217]

We always welcome input from readers at large as we understand there are many of you who may not be able to meet regularly or may not be a member of an active study group. Arena is one method to keep in touch with you all.

INTERNATIONAL NEWSLETTERS

Communicating to our growing family of world readers is an important way to keep us connected. UAI and the Urantia Foundation have established three excellent publications for that purpose. The UAI Journal was established to provide in-depth thought provoking reports on questions arising from the study of The Urantia Book, Tidings is really good tidings about activities – expericences – between the members of the various associations worldwide and UF News informs us of the activities of the Urantia Foundation covering such matters as new translations, trustee initiatives arising from their board meetings and biographies of key personnel. They represent an important barometer on the present state of growth of the Urantia teachings.

STUDY AIDS AND SECONDARY WORKS

The Urantia Book has been with us for over a generation now and in this short time it has inspired many of us to contribute works emanating from experiences with the teachings. A considerable body of work has resulted and provides us with a rich resource to refer to which can enlarge our own search for truth beauty and goodness.

The creative potential of human personality results in an endless variety of meaningful expression be it, literary, poetic, artistic or musical. All these forms are represented in abundance here.
